Bob Oswald
Re: Carnation Mine, Permit M-1977-416
Request for Technical Revision
Four Wing Saltbush: 41bs/acre PLS
Sand Dropseed: 0.21b/acre PLS
The general method for applying seed will be to use an All Terrain Vehicle ("ATV") or other
specially adapted implement suited for broadcast seeding operations. ATV's provide a great deal
of flexibility and mobility for working on slopes. ATV's also can be used for harrowing or
dragging to cover seed.
As shown on the enclosed map, a number of water diversion and runoff control structures exist at
the Camation site. These structures are working as intended, and revegetation is taking place.
These structures will be left in place on the final reclamation map to be submitted by the
Operator.
No topsoil has been stockpiled from past disturbances at the Carnation Mine site. Revegetation
will rely initially on the existing waste rock.
We look forward to working with you to process this Technical Revision request. Please
contact me at the Operator's address shown on the letterhead or by telephone at 303-389-4161 or
by e-mail at `terry.wetz@mindspring.com'.
Sincerely,
TI. v ~.~~
Terry V.
