The current permit application specifies that in order for Kerr Coal Company to open either Pit 2 or Pit 3, proposed to lie to the north of Pit 1, the company must submit a permit revision application (pages 780-1R, 2Ra, and SR of the application). List of Revisions The following is a list of permitting actions have occurred since the 15 May 1996, permit issuance. 1. Permit Revisions None. 2. Technical Revisions a. Technical Revision TR-17 was submitted on 23 October 1997; found complete on 4 November 1997; and proposed for approval on 16 July 1998. This revision addressed changes to the reclamation plan and post-mining land use for the Matr tipple azea. b. Technical Revision TR-18 was submitted on 21 September 1998; found complete on 28 September 1998; and proposed for approval on 19 January 1999. This revision addressed changes to the location of demolition debris from the reclamation of the tipple. c. Technical Revision TR-19 was submitted on 16 December 1998; found complete on 22 December 1998; and approved on 11 January 1999. This revision addressed questions raised in the Midterm Review including permanent retention of facilities, revegetation success standards and [he hydrologic monitoring plan. d. Technical Revision TR-20 was submitted on 14 June 2001; found complete on 24 June 2001; and proposed for approval on 4 September 2001. This revision addressed adequacy questions for Permit Renewal 04 including ownership and control issues and monitoring well information. e. Technical Revision TR-21 was submitted on 24 September 2001; found incomplete on 4 October 2001; and currently remains incomplete. This revision addressed a proposed change to the post-mining land use at the mine site. 3. Minor Revisions a. Minor Revision MR-31 was submitted on 26 August 1996 and proposed for approval on 10 September 1996. This revision addressed plans for upgrading Ponds A, D and E.
