• • <br />~ PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Somerset Mining Company, P.O. Box 535, Somerset, CO, has submit- <br />ted an application for a Technical Revision, to the Colorado <br />Mined Land Reclamation Division, for its Somerset Mine, mining <br />permit No. C-81-022. The proposed revision will revise the <br />operations plan in the permit to clarify its pracitice of hauling <br />coal to its Elk Creek Facilities Area. The mine site is located <br />due north of the town of Somerset, CO. The North Fork of the <br />Gunnison River is located due south of the town of Somerset. The <br />current mine permit area lies within Section 31, T12S, R90W; <br />Sections 34, 35 & 36, T12S R91W; Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 <br />& 17, T13S R90W; and Sections 1, 2, 3, 11, 12 & 13, T13S R 91W. <br />The mine permit areas are located on the U.S. Geological Survey <br />7.5 minute Bowie and Somerset Quadrangle maps. <br />A copy of the proposed revision is available for public inspec- <br />tion at the Delta County Glerk and Recorder's office, 5th and <br />Palmer, Delta Colorado, and at the offices of the Colorado Mined <br />Land Reclamation Division, 1313 Sherman St., Room 215, Denver, <br />Colorado, 80203, (303) 866-3567.
