l5, 18, 20, 21-1, 21-3 and Figure 1 in the January 3, 2003 submittal.
9. Proposed revised page Exh-8-174 contains hydrology data fora 357 acre subwatershed
designated as Area H This page is a renumbered page Exh-8-172 from the currently approved
permit application. However, this appears to be a page that was inadvertently not replaced when
gob pile no. 2 and Pond F were approved. Old Area H is now designated as Areas HI and H2 as
shown on Map 20. New Area H is below old state highway 133. Please revise page Exh-8-174 to
reflect the new subwatershed Area H.
The Division has no further concerns. In the January 3, 2007 submittal cover letter, BRL stated
that area H had been deleted from the designs since the area was accounted for in the designs for
ditches D H1 and D H2. Revised page Exh 8-174 should be deleted.
10. On proposed revised page Exh-8-172, there is a hydrology design for Ditch-HI. In that design,
flow from Area H is included. This Area H is the old designation Area H as explained in guestion
no. 9 above. Since Pond F has been built to receive runoff from old designation Area H, and
modified so that the pond discharge flows under the Fire Mountain Canal and into ditch Hl, it
appears that the flow from Pond F should be added to the Ditch-HI hydrology design in place of
the flow from old designation Area H Please revise page Exh-8-172 if you agree.
BRL stated that revisions were made to permit pages Exh 8-170, Exh 8-172 and Map 22-J.
However, the January 3, 2007 submittal did not contain a revised page Exh 8-172. Please provide
this revised page for further review.
1 1. On Map No. 22-J, Pond J Detail, and on the ditch summary page in Appendix B of Volume XI,
most of the flow depth data for the ditches in the "J" drainage area do not match the flow depth
data listed in the "V-Ditch Design" table on revised page Exh-8-29iii. Please revise accordingly.
[n the January 3, 2007 submittal, BRL provided a revised Appendix B of Volume XI and a revised
Map 22-J. However, there are still some discrepancies. The ditch depths for ditches J8-2, J9-2 and
J9-3 aze listed as being 1.2 feet each in Appendix B while they are listed as being 1.4 feet each on
Map 22-J. Please revise.
Also, some of the values for ditch depths on revised page Exh-8-29iii do not appear to be correct.
One ofthe problems may be that the Division's question was misleading. The depth values on the
two revised pages and on Map 22-J should not necessarily match. The depth entries listed on
revised page Exh-8-29iii do not include 0.3 feet of freeboard, as stated in the footnote at the
bottom of the table. In revised Appendix B of Volume XI, the foofiote states that the depths
include freeboard. On Map 22-J, there are entries for depths with and without freeboard. Please
revise the ditch depths accordingly.
12. In order to avoid any confusion, please change references of "Ditch D-J8" to "Ditch D-JS-2" on
revised page Exh-8-166.
The Division has no further concerns. Page Exh-8-166 was revised in the January 3, 2007
submittal.
13. Also in order to avoid any confusion, please change references of "Ditch D-J9" to "Ditch D-J9-
