• _ Revised 1996 Data
The revised 1996 data in Table lb showed that the Chokecherry reference area
had the highest vegetation cover followed by the Aspen reference azea, primary reclaimed
area, Oak Brush reference area and the Sagebrush reference area. Absolute total ground
cover was greatest for the primary reclaimed area followed by the Aspen reference azea,
the Chokecherry reference azea, Oak Brush reference area and Sagebrush reference area.
Vegetation cover was dominated by perennial grasses for all reclaimed and reference
areas. Perennial fortis helped make up much of the vegetative cover for the reference
areas.
1996 Data for Non-contiguous Reclaimed Areas
Table 1 c shows that the Explosives Storage area had the highest vegetative cover
• followed by the Chokecherry reference azea, the Sanitary Landfill, the Aspen reference
azea, Topsoil Pile B, Oak Brush reference azea, Sagebrush reference area and Topsoil Pile
C. Absolute total ground cover was highest for the Explosives Storage azea followed by
the Sanitary Landfill area, Aspen reference area, Topsoil Pile B, Chokecherry reference
area, Oak Brush reference area, Topsoil Pile C and the Sagebrush reference azea. It
should be noted that for all cover class data in the non-contiguous reclaimed areas only
one sample was collected on each study site and that the values of Table lc are for
descriptive purposes.
1997 Data
The 1997 data in Table 1 d shows that the Aspen reference area had the highest
• absolute vegetative cover followed by the Oak Brush reference area, Chokecherry
16
