POST OFFICE BOX 896
MEEKER, COLORADO 81691
13031878-3737
September 12, 1986
!dined Land Reclamation Division
423 Centennial Building
1313 Sherman Street
Denver, CO 80203
Re: M-77-132
Berry Pit
Att: Patricia D4artinek
Dear Ms. Martinek:
i 1
SEP 15 i986
,.
.,.,`..,. ,.. _.r
I have finally been able to obtain the mapping and
other information previously requested by your division.
I have enclosed a reclamation plan map which indicates areas
of disturbance and a phasing plan for completing reclamation.
The plan also represents an amendment to the previous
reclamation plan which was revised effective January 20, 1981.
The plan I have enclosed simplifies the previous plan by
deleting a proposed ~c•~ along the western boundary.
Since adjacent property is not projected for development
in the near future, it is not desirable to provide for
this road at the present time.
The major areas of disturbance are indicated as
Phases I and II on the enclosed map. Phase I contains
approximately 9.3 acres and Phase II contains approximately
15 acres. The major reclamation costs will be incurred
in reclaiming Phase I which contains steep slopes and a
ponding area. Phase II is already basically configured as
it will be after reclamation.
At the present time there are two areas of stockpiled
topsoil containing a total of approximately 58,000 cubic
yards of material. An estimate I have received for completing
reclamation of Phase I is approximately $15,000.00. Phase II
would be an additional $5,000.00. At the present time
reclamation work has been undertaken and the area indicated
in the northern portion of Phase I as water has been almost
completely filled. Reclamation of that portion of Phase I
will be completed within the next thirty days. Reclamation
work has also been undertaken at the eastern end of the
Phase I section on the southern boundary of the permit. It
is anticipated that this entire section of Phase 2 will be
completed by November, 1986. Reclamation work in the
