Minor Revision Request No. 16
Southfield Mine South Fan Installation
and 1940's. The previously disturbed areas have not been reclaimed and with
the exception of backfilling of open portals completed in 1987 by the CMLRD
to limit access, the area remains in essentially the same configuration and
condition as it was in when the Monarch No. 4 operations ceased.
LOCATION OF PROPOSED SOUTH FAN INSTALLATION
The proposed south fan installation will be located in the SWi/4 of the NE1/4
of Section 31, T20S, R69W, 6th PM, as shown on the revised Mine Plan Map,
(Map 17). The existing Monarch No. 4 Mine road provides access to the site
and is in good condition since it is used by the landowner for access to the
upper portions of his property. This road can be accessed from the Southfield
Permit Area near the GEC Pit as shown on Map 17.
RIGHT OF ENTRY AND OPERATION (2.04)
Both the lands to be utilized for the proposed fan installation and the J~~~,.,,~,
associated access road are controlled by EFCI under a coal mining lease and
surtace use agreement with the Corley Company as documented in Section
2.03.4 of the EFCI permit application document. The lease and use agreement
give EFCI full right of entry and operation for the fan installation. Recognizing ~ it
that the landowner of the property to the south utilizes an access road ~ /
adjacent to the proposed fan installation site, EFCI has committed to notify this ~`~~\\p ,~
landowner of the proposed activities and provide him with the Division's ~Q ~~~~~1 ~~
address allowing opportunity for comment prior to implementation.
With the exception of a portion of the existing access roa ,the entire effected
area is also within the designated permit boundary under EFCI's existing
approved mining and reclamation permit (Permit No. C-81-014).
c: work pq is ~evnpl8.
12/23/81 fpm n
