Minutes, August 23-24, 1989 <br />PAGE 14 <br />During their presentations, concerns relating to an endangered species <br />(sharp-tailed grouse), as well as other wildlife, were discussed. Mr. <br />Gary Tuttle responded to the Board's inquiry, regarding provisions the <br />applicant would make for preservation of wildlife, specifically the <br />sharp-tailed grouse, in the area. He said the applicant would follow <br />directions from the Division of Wildlife, regarding this issue. <br />It was MOVED that the Board approve this permit, with the inclusion of <br />Staff's s~tpulations, regarding the sedimentation ponds and the <br />b295,850 bond amount and the following additional stipulation: that <br />the operator encourage the landowner and the Division of Wildlife to <br />continue the study of sharp-tailed grouse on the site; that the <br />operator take into account any new information which becomes available <br />regarding the sharp-tailed grouse and that the operator include in its <br />Annual Reports any such new information and a description of new <br />measures which are being incorporated into the mining/reclamation plans <br />to protect this species, in light of such new information.
