PUBLIC NOTICE <br />NCIG Financial, Inc., 2768 Compass Drive, Suite 101, Grand <br />Junction, CO, 81506, has submitted an application for renewal of a <br />valid existing permit to conduct mining in Colorado to the Division <br />of Minerals and Geology. The permit renewal is for NCIG's Coal <br />Ridge No. 1 Mine and Lacy Loadout, mining permit No. C-84-065. The <br />operation is in permanent cessation. The mine is located <br />approximately 3 miles east of New Castle, south of the Colorado <br />River in the Grand Hogback region in Garfield County. The Loadout <br />is located in Lacy, CO, south of I-70 and north of the Colorado <br />River. The Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine permit area is located on the <br />U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Storm King Mountain and New <br />Castle Quadrangle maps. The Lacy Loadout permit area is located on <br />the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Rifle Quadrangle map. <br />The mine permit area is located in portions of the following <br />described lands. <br />Township 6 South, Range 91 West, 6th PM <br />Sec. 1: Those lands in the NEB yet south of County <br />Road 335, Lota 3 and 4, S~, S/2NW~ <br />Sec. 12: N~NE~ <br />Township 6 South, Range 90 West, 6th PM <br />Sec. 5: S~SW~ <br />Sec. 6: All lands south of County Road 335 and a strip <br />of land approximately 400 feet long and 25 <br />feet wide which extends north from the county <br />road to the Colorado River, originating just <br />east of the mine entrance road. <br />Sec. 7: NEB, N~NW~ <br />Sec. 8: N~, N~SE~, NE~SW~ <br />Sec. 9: S~NW~, SW~t <br />Sec. 15: NWT <br />Sec. 16: N~iNE~, NE~NW~ <br />Townshin 6 South, Range 94 West, 6th PM - Lacy Loadout <br />Sec. 23: A portion of land in the SW~ of the NWT <br />containing 4.35 acres, more or less <br />A copy of the proposed revision is available for public inspection <br />at the Garfield County Clerk and Recorder's office, Glenwood <br />Springs CO, and at the offices of the Division of Minerals and <br />Geology, 1313 Sherman St., Room 215, Denver, CO, 80203, (303) 866- <br />3567. written comments, objections, or requests for an informal <br />conference on the application may be submitted to and additional <br />information may be obtained from the Division of Minerals and <br />Geology at the above address. <br />
