Long <br /> Division Director <br />RE: Adequacy Letter, Smith Permit Conversion Application, Permit No. M-77-053 <br />Dear Mr. Stockebrand: <br />The Division completed its technical review of your conversion application. In order to meet the <br />minimum requirements of the Colorado Land Reclamation Act for the Removal of Construction Materials <br />(the "Act") and the Constmction Materials Rules and Regulations ("Rules"), the following items need to <br />be addressed: <br />1) The exhibit maps do not comply with [he requirements of Rule 6.2.1. The maps must <br />conform to [he following criteria; <br />~~ (a) Show the name of the Applicant; <br />(b) Must be prepared and signed by a registered land surveyor, professional <br />engineer, or other qualified person; <br />(c) Give the date prepared; and <br />(d) Identify the correct map scale (you indicate a scale of 1 " = 20' but it appears the <br />scale is 1" = 200'). <br />2) Pursuant to Rule 6.4.4(f), (g) and (h), you need to describe the nature, depth and <br />a`~ thickness of the deposit to be mined and the nature of the stratum immediately beneath <br />the material to be mined. In addition, you need to identify the primary and secondary <br />commodities to be mined/extracted, describe the intended use, and name and describe the <br />intended use of all expected incidental products to be mined/extracted by the proposed <br />operation. <br />3) How do you intend to handle the ground water seepage problem (if it occurs again)? <br />~~ Will your proposed solution become part of the post-mining land use? <br />
