J. J- Dudash - 2 - Auqust 27, 2003
6. The DMG was supplied a list of the chemical constituents for the flocculent under
separate cover.
7. The enclosed revised text describes the use of the flocculent as well as the
dosage limits.
8. The flocculent was added to the discussion of the probable hydrologic
consequences section of the permit. The complex chemical makeup of the
flocculent makes an analytical discussion of the flocculent almost impossible.
The most important aspect of the flocculent is that when the flocculent is properly
applied into a water stream containing solids, most of the product will be
attached to the solids. Therefore, flocculent use should not adversely affect
surface or ground water.
9. BRL has applied for an amendment to its permit to provide for the use of the
flocculent POL-E-Z 83400.
10. See 5. above.
Amended pages 2.04-38, 2.05-73, 73i, 73ii and 74. Please call if you have any
questions.
Sincerely,
~~
~J. E. Stover, P.E.
Consulting Engineer
cc: Wm. A. Bear, Jr.
