A road will be
extended from Tipple #3 over to this location. Water &. Earth Technologies performed the
hydrology work necessary for sizing of road culverts and also the small azea exemption
demonstration. The shaft, once completed, will be approximately 6 feet in diameter and it will
increase the ventilation efficiency of the mine. A maximum of approximately 7.2 acres of new
surface disturbance will result from the construction of the access mad and the ventilation intake
shaft. Also, as noted on Map 23, there aze up to 3 additional entries that may be driven to the
ventilation shaft to further increase ventilation efficiencies.
TCC would like to proceed with this project as soon as possible due to the need to get the road
constructed to the ventilation shaft prior to the start of winter. Therefore, during the review
process please feel free to contact me with questions. Thank you for your attention to this
request.
Sincer ,
~i~ ~~-
J N ton
En ' ental Supervisor
Attachments
