A categorical response to your inquiries follows below. <br />Deserado Mine personnel have detennined that the proposed permanent ditches for RP-2/3 <br />and RP-4 (Map 77) are in actuality not permanent. These ditches will not be in their final <br />location until reclamation because of changing location and frequent maintenance. Thus, all <br />of the ditches in RP-2/3 and RP-4 will be treated as interim ditches. I am enclosing revised <br />Map 77. <br />2. The RP-SA eastside and westside perimeter ditches (Map 77A) are in their final location. •% <br />3. Page IV-24 has been revised to include the statement suggested in your letter, i.e., 'the ~ <br />operator will maintain drainage and sediment control structures so that they are stable and <br />functional at all times, until final bond release is approved'. <br />4. Page IV-24 has been revised to include the language suggested in your letter, I.e., 'interim l <br />or in-pit refuse area perimeter ditches will also be sized to pass the runoff from a 100-year, <br />24-hour event'. <br />5. The third paragraph of Page IV-24 includes a sentence to read 'The ditches will be designed <br />to carry the design flow depth and 0.3 feet of overborad. <br />40$ Urban Street.
