Interoffice memorandum
Walker to Brown
29 June 1999
Page 2 of 6 Pages
CHECKLIST FOR SEDIMENTATION POND AS-BUILTS
This is a checklist of required and preferred items to be on a sedimentation pond as-built.
Technically, an as-built is a representation of all physical features of the structure. Horizontal
features of size and configuration (including contour lines) aze shown on a plan view. Vertical
aspects aze often, and better, shown on cross-sections or profile drawings. Text specifications
often appear on an as-built. Operational features of a pond aze required to demonstrate
compliance with the Rules, and these items are best illustrated (operational design requirements)
on an as-built drawing. As-builts should confirm that a structure is built according to an
approved design. Designs are based on studies, investigations, and demonstrations, and need to
demonstrate general compliance with Rule 2.05.6(3). Required design aspects that do not appeaz
on an as-built need to be presented elsewhere in the Permit. Inclusion on the as-built often
eliminates duplication of information in the Permit by presentation of design, as well as as-built,
features on a single drawing. As a matter of practicality, as-built drawings are frequently
annotated design drawings.
Pond # _015 ,Permit C-_81_ _057_, date:_29 Jun 1999
ITEM REFERENCE PURPOSE COMPLIANCE?
Certification by a 2.05.3(4)(ii)(A) Rule requirement, A professional engineer
registered professional ,July 13, 1984 Division definition of stamped Drawing 13-8, but
engineer letter adequacy. there is oo certiTication
statement.
A plan view, showing 4.05.6(3)(a) A basic element of an Shown on Drawing 13-8.
shape and size as-built.
Demonstrates capacity
Location of primary 4.05.6(3)(a) A basic element of an Shown on Drawing 13-8.
spillway as-built.
Demonstrates
configuration.
Location of 4.05.6(3)(a) A basic element of an Shown on Drawing 13-8.
emergency spillway as-built.
Demonstrates
configuration.
Nonclogging 4.05.6(3)(c) Prevents clogging of A trash rack is described in
dewatering device the primary spillway text.
