As Rocky Bowman of West Elk Coal Company discussed with Mika
Ward, stipulations to the Mt. Gunnison Mine permits require that we establish
a subsidence monitoring network over the first mine panel to be retreat
mined. The permits further stipulate that the network 6e in place prior to
development of the panel. Since development of the panel may occur as early
as February of 1985. it 1s important that we install the monitoring network
during this construction season. Thus we would appreciate your expeditious
review of this application.
If you have any questions, piease do not hesitate to contact Rocky Bowman,
Environmental Coordinator at the hit. Gunnison Mine at 924-5015 or myself in
Denver, at 293-794-.
n Sincerely,
Paige B, 8evi11e
Senior Permits Coordinator
PBB/~1
CC: Rocky Bowman, WECC
John Ellenberger.
