After reviewing our records, we have found that the additional twelve acres from amendment
number one have not been released by the DMG. Page I of the application has been revised and submitted
to reflect this change.
Item 5. Exhibit C: All references to CUP and CUP numbers have been removed and the correct
identification numbers have been added to the pre-mining map.
The "mining boundary" as shown on the map has been changed to "permit boundary". This will also be the
same as the affected land boundary. Although there is not usable gravel on all areas of the permit boundary
these areas may be used at times for plant sites, crushers, asphalt plants, batch plants, etc. As well, the
entire area of the affected lands are portrayed in the legal description as shown on the map.
Pursuant to the requirements of Rule 6.4.3 (a), the owners of all adjoining surface owners have been shown
on the pre-mining map.
Pursuant to the requirements of Rule 6.4.3 (e) the type of present vegetation of the affected land has been
listed in the notes on the pre-mining and mining maps.
Item 6. Typical overburden and topsoil stockpiles have been re-designated on the pre-mining and mining
plan maps so that they are easier to locate.
Stripping of topsoil and overburden will occur as a continuous part of the mining at this facility. As mining
is completed, topsoil and overburden will be removed from new mining areas. As this material is removed,
it will be distributed over area that has been completed. This will be an ongoing practice throughout the
life of the mine.
The location of all typical water impoundment's have been re-designated on the mining plan so that they
are easier to locate. Typical impoundment's are expected to be 200' x 200' or approximately 1 acre of
exposed service area. These impoundment's will be filled in and relocated as mining in different areas
continues and plant sites change.
473-3100 • Fax 473-31
