9/7/83 110(2) permit issued to Gold Hill Mining Company (GHMC) to
reactivate the Cash Au-Ag Mine and complete surface mine dump
sorting and upgrading. Total acreage - 2.261 ac.
6/30/85 Amendment filed by GHMC to increase acreage to 7.638 ac with
addition of a number of mine dumps (Who Do, White Cloud, Wynona)
and a gravity and flotation concentration mill.
p.l states It (the mill) will be used exclusively to process ore
from Gold Hill Ventures' properties. The Mill will not accept or
process third party or custom ore on a toll mining or contract
basis."
p.8 outlined water pumping and storage scheme from Left Hand Creek
to bulkheaded Time Mine adit to Wynona Shaft or drilled well to
mill. Hazel A adit bulkhead to be used for overflow storage.'
9/13/85 Division inspection revealed mill construction occurring without a
permit.
9/23/85 Mr. Steen letter response to adequacy concerns - said 10 mil
hypalon liner will be installed in tailings impoundment. Gold
Hill residents concerned about seepage of water in impoundment into
ground water.
9/25/85 Amendment approved.
9/26/85 Board issues NOV for Mining without permit, Cease and Desist, and
civil penalty of $2,800.
10/2185 Civil penalty paid, C & D lifted.
10/2/85 SO approved from Gold Hill Mining Company to Gold Hill Ventures
Limited Partnership (GHVLP).
10/25/85 MLRD inspection - no problems
11/11/85 MLRD compliance inspection on tailings liner, Hazel A bulkhead.
