The money
for the road would probably not be out of line
if the coal permits were large enough to offset
the cost, It would be hard to have to lay out
all that money up front before going into
production. It would be a lot easier to be
granted the coal permits and start building the
plants ect, and then as production starts to
go in and maintain the roads:
The county wants to keep putting
the cart before the horse and its just not
completely economically or financially possible.'
I know that the county receives
road tax revenues from the state. It would seem
to be in everyone's best interest to try and work
out a solution that everyone would benefit from.
In the meeting last week, a final
decision was delayed until the 15th, unless that
that has been changed. So once again Iam asking
for your help in some way to put this viable
project into production so that some of the
unemployed miners in the state can go back to
work. In this way it will be of additional help
for the coffers of the State, Garfield County and
the local towns,
. Thank you for your help once again.
Sincerely, ~ ~~i'i~i~
Can y Eldridge Smith
