Phase IVb Weekly Summary No. 11 Pale 2 003-2203 <br />Ames performed excavation remediation acti~rities at underground workings UG-278, UG-279, UG- <br />304, UG-514, UG-515, and UG-292a. Workings were designated as "Shallow" or "Deep'' as <br />defined in the drawings, and were remediated accordingly. <br />Ames constructed a geogrid cap over UG-274. Ames placed two layers of geogrid in accordance <br />with the drawings and specifications. <br />Ames placed Structural Fill (SF) over previously remediated working UG-269. <br />Field Monitoring and Testing Activities <br />Golder observed construction activities associated with Phase IV earthworks. All construction <br />materials and soil materials placed were verified as suitable, and construction methods were in <br />accordance with project specifications. Removal of oversized and deleterious material from all fill <br />azeas was observed. Golder observed Structural Fill (SF) placement in Phase IV for materials, lift <br />thickness, moisture content, and compactive effort. <br />Golder observed and documented excavation remediation activities associated with the Phase IV <br />underground working construction. Workings were designated as "Shallow" or "Deep" as defined in <br />the drawings and were remediated accordingly. <br />Golder observed placement of SF and geogrid for underground working remediation. These materials <br />were placed in accordance with the drawings and specifications into excavated or open underground <br />workings. Golder previously obtained samples of SF for laboratory testing. Materials supplied met <br />specifications. <br />Laboratorv Tests <br />Golder did not obtain any samples or perform any Iaboratory testing during this reporting period. <br />Meetines <br />CC&V held a Weekly Contractors meeting on February 2S, 2003 and on Mazch 4, 2003. Items <br />discussed included Safety, Environmental, Schedule, and CQA. Golder was informed by CC&V at <br />the March 4 meeting that personnel would not be required on-site until the end of Mazch, due to no <br />construction. The next weekly meeting will beheld on March 18, 2003 at 10:00 AM. <br />Golder Personnel On-Site <br />A summary of all Golder CQA personnel on site during this reporting period is presented in <br />Attachment A. <br />r~~nrou F~t~s-n~a, zco; dog Golder Associates Inc. <br />
