Extension of Time of Abatement
Basin Resources requests an extension for the following
violations:
NOV C-93-43 East Mine Underground Development Waste Pile:
The pile has been slope as per our discussions during the
inspection. Lincoln Devore will be doing a follow-up
compaction test the first week of June. This test will then
be incorporated into the Quarterly certification. They
normal take a week to ten days to complete their report.
Thus I am requesting an extension to June 15th, 1993.
C-93-39 Oil Spillage - DOT barrels were received Monday,
May 24. Clean up was started on Monday Work is projected
to be completed by Friday afternoon May 28. Therefore an
extension is requested to May 28, 1993.
C-93-37 The Road east of the RDA has been closed off.
Temporary erosion control measures will be installed as
necessary to control erosion. A Technical Revision will be
Submitted by June 15th to permit a road to the conveyor, or
permanent reclamation measures will be taken.
GE S NE Culverts - Culverts have been ordered to replace
missing and under sized culverts. Golden Eagle Culvert C-3
has been replaced with a 24" culvert from stock. A TR has
been submitted to remove culvert C-15 at the New Elk Mine.
Likewise a TR has been submitted along with documentation,
changing culvert C-6 from 60" to a 54" culvert with 9.72" of
headwater over the culvert.
