The portion of the backfilling associated with stripping has not been included, as the
cost would not be incurred if the stripping was not done.
2. Revegetation is based on using existing soil types for the entire site and vegetating
appropriately. Revegetation includes costs of soil amendment and fertilization (if
used).
3. It is assumed that stockpile and plant areas will require no backfilling for the stage
in which the area is in use, since the area will not be mined until the next stage.
4. Backfilling of bench areas is not included since such backfilling is done as part of
stripping for the other bench areas.
5. Backfilling of valley floor areas for reclamation bond estimate purposes is based on
having to either use backfill material stockpiled in the plant and bench areas, or
actually extract additional material from the bench to backfill to the desired elevation
in the valley floor.
6. Grading and contouring of initial valley floor area includes work to daylight swale to
allow surface water flow from new valley floor.
All acreages are estimates.
Trans-Colorado Concrete October 99
Application for Permit: Spotted Burro Pit Page 33
