• Exhibit D •
PREVIOUS SITE DEVELOPMENT:
This site holds an existing 110 permit, and approximately 1.4 acres has been mined
since the late 1970s. Of this (mostly on the edge of the bench), 1.1 acres is inside the
current 110 permit area and 0.3 acres was outside the current 110 permit area. Aerial
photography also indicates an area of approximately 1.5 acres of mining in the
extreme south part of Eight-mile Creek on the property, prior to the 1970s, probably in
conjunction with mining on the county property to the west of the creek and this site.
However, this appears to have been filled in by natural stream action and is no longer
visible.
Various piles of rock and earth exist on the site, apparently of human origin, but mostly
not within the 110 permit area. This totals approximately 0.1 acres total. (These
features will be removed in mining.)
At the north edge of the property, in addition to an office building approximately 1000
SF in size, there are several concrete pads of various sizes from previous occupancy of
the site. These structures are spread out over an area of approximately 0.5 acre.
Those will be used as necessary for vehicle parking, equipment storage, and
maintenance, during the mining and reclamation of the site. These will not be removed
if they are not within the area to be disturbed by mining, and will remain after mining.
INITIAL SITE DEVELOPMENT:
ACCESS ROADS
See Exhibit C. Map C-1, showing roads for the site.
Current disturbance New disturbance
Road 1.6 acres 0.6 acres max
30 foot nominal width 50 foot maximum
The existing access road is shown on maps as 30 feet wide but actually varies
somewhat in width, and consists of an improved gravel surtace in fair to poor
condition. This road will be used for access to the mining area, processing and
stockpile areas during mining and will remain in place for access in the future
after mining and reclamation is complete. During the period of mining, this road
may be increased in width to 50 feet (including drainage and shoulders) but will
be reduced to 30 feet or less in width as part of reclamation, and will remain
after mining.
~ Found in CDMG records for the 110 permit.
Trans-Colorado Concrete October 99
Application for Permit: Spotted Burro Pit Page 8
