•:
c
MR. DAN MATHEWS
ALLEGED N.O.V. C-85-045
JUNE 7, 1985
PAGE TWO
7. Implementation of the approved sedimentation control plan addressed
in No. 3 above, will be dependent upon the ability of the Middle
Creek Pit area to sustain the heavy equipment necessary to construct
the approved plan. If soil conditions prohibit heavy equipment
activity in the area, the above requested extension may require mod-
ification.
CYCC has constructed diversion ditches on the upper portions of the
Middle Creek Pit area spoil in an attempt to divert the spring water away from
the lower portions of the backfilled pit area. These diversion ditches flow
into the present Middle Creek Detention Basin. This activity was conducted to
allow the lower portions of the backfilled pit area to dry out as soon as
possible.
If you have any questions concerning this request for abatement exten-
sion, please contact me at the above letterhead address.
Sincerely,
R.UC~.-e.~ ~la...~.2n
Richard Hughes
Environmental Specialist
RH:kmk
cc: G. Consalus
M. Kondelis
L. Damrau
