In the 70's some small test plots <br />were developed to try transplanting some oCthe pinion pint trees. These lest plow had s0%success <br />rate. <br />r _ <br />~„ A test plot was developed et the RnFrerts quarry where pinion pine seeds were just hand scattered over <br />1, .~ the area. Today this area has pinion pine trees varying in siu from 6" to 6•- <br />'~ ~ 1993 <br />In 1993 a test plot was developed noM of our lab trailer to transplant small trt:es. We have transplanted <br />;, at feat 50 trees in this test plot over the years. Today their arc only two trees s1i11 growing. <br />y~, . ~' <br />'! 199$ <br />Tn 1994 a small test plat planter was built just south of Colorado Liens Lab/offiee trailer. La ono half of <br />the planter we filled it with just sandstone materials and transplanted small pinion pine trcos and some <br />evergreen trees. In the usher half of the planter we filled with beet dirt and manure. We transplanted <br />small pinion pine trees and some evergreen trees. We made sure these trees all had plenty of water. <br />The success of the pinion pine tras today is 0°.%. Wo have throo of rho ovagrccn aces still growing. <br />
