Exhibit E RECLAMATION PLAN
There are no plans at this time to change the future use of
the mined areas. The following amendment to the Reclamation Plan
is numbered sequentially for the purposed described in the Mining
Plan text. Currently the post mining land use is dryland pasture
and the new area will have the same designation. The approved
reclamation plans, including recoiling, revegetation methods and
species, will remain unchanged on the existing permit areas. we
will use the revegetation and recoiling methods approved in the
original conversion and amendment, on the new area. Review of
the new Reclamation Plan map shows how the entire permit area
will be reclaimed. Note: that only the newly added area is
colored to avoid confusion in the future when working with this
map.
AMENDMENT 3 - Mine slopes.
In the existing permit area the slopes along the west and
south sides that were to be left have been removed and reestab-
lished along the new permit line. They will be graded 3:1 from
the existing surface level to the mine floor.
The soils and vegetation on the new area are described in
Exhibit I/J of this packet the information supplied is 1996 was
adequate to cover the new area so the only revision was to the
Soils Map. Exhibit I/J in this report is a reprint of that
information. The soil and overburden cover on the new area is a
little deeper than what was encountered in the old permit area.
It varies from 8 inches to 3 feet. McAtee will salvage what
growth medium is present to use on the site for revegetation. It
may be necessary to use some of the overburden as growth medium
using soil enhancements to improve its revegetation potential.
Information on the soil enhancement methods is discussed on Page
15(1996) of the 1996 report.
The approved seed mix, on page 16(1996) will be used on the
new area. The Reclamation Plan information for the site is
described in that document and will be applied to the new area,
with the exception noted above.
AMENDMENT 4 - Revised Reclamation Timetable
The Timetable reflects the areas shown on the new maps in
this amendment.
AcxEs
~
PRASE YEARS TOTAL ~ ~ 12pAD . -
:RLfTEGE~A'1`ION t1NDISTURBED:
EXISTING AREA 4-6 38.00 0.79 36.84 0.37
NEW AREA 4-6 67.55 1.65 65.90 4.53
TOTALS 105.55 2,44 102.7d 4.90
5
