Estimates have been given by REA for
relocation when necessary. Alignment shown was at their suggestion. I personally
preferred east and then north from southwest comer of the pit site. If you have
questions, contact Patsy or Chico at Gunnison County REA. A copy of Patsy's letter is
enclosed.
Scale, scalehouse, storage-trailer, fuel tanks, etc. were to be deleted from the
map and will not remain after reclamation. Fuel tanks were removed several years ago.
I have no good way to remove contours so colors and written representation will have
to do.
Exhibit G -All disturbed areas of runoff will report to the pit floor except the
power line road which will drain to the current draw at the center of the west boundary.
The road at the north boundary will drain to the pit along the north boundary to the
settlement area. The horseshoe shaped area to be mined will be removed from the
center of the horseshoe toward the outside so as to always drain disturbed areas to the
center of the horseshoe. As each zone is lowered it will drain to the pit below.
Exhibit H - I refer to both documents. Up-valley on Beaver Creek, which is west
and north of the pit area are meadows maintained by the State DOW for critical winter
