Mehlhoff, Bureau of <br />Minot Revision Request (MR <br />Development Holes. <br />Personnel from 'this office have reviewed the shove minor revision and <br />anticipate no significant impact from the proposed actions. <br />Therefore, it ins recoamLended that the revision be approved subject to <br />the following sitipulatians: <br />1.) if, 'in its operations, the holder discovers any cultural <br />remains, mOAUments or sites, or any object of antiquity <br />subject to the Antiquities Act o£ June 8, 1906 (34 Stat. <br />225;116 U. S. C. secs. 431-433), The Archaeological <br />Recto rces protection Act of 1979 (Public Law 96-95), and 43 <br />CFR,jPart 3, the holder shall immediately cease activity and <br />report directly to the~Area Manager. The Bureau shall then <br />takeiyuch actions as required under the acts and regulations <br />thereunder. The_ holder shall follow the mitigation <br />requirements set forth by BLM concerning protection, <br />preservation or disposition of any sites or material <br />discovered. in cases where salvage excavation is necessary, <br />the cost of such excavation shall be borne by the holder, <br />wiless otherwise stat~l. <br />2.) In order to protect important seasonal wildlife habitat <br />(mule deer), exploration, drilling, and other development <br />activvIity may not be allowed for up to sixty (60) days during <br />the g~eriod from December 1 thruugkr March 31.
