' Mr. Edward E. Kochman - 2 - April 5, 1991
concerns about noise and hours of operation should be addressed to your city
and county governments, as the Board does not have authority over these items.
The Division has consulted with the Division of Wildlife. Also, the original
permit application was approved with no interruption of any wildlife migratory
routes. The current plan reduces the proposed affected area by over 50~.
This reduction should minimize impacts to wildlife.
The Minerals Program is statutorily required to regularly inspect all active
mineral mines in the state. In addition, an operator is required to submit
annual reports that show areas reclaimed, and new disturbances.
I hope I have addressed your concerns to your satisfaction. I have enclosed a
copy of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act and the Mineral Rules and
Regulations for your reference. Should you have any further questions, please
feel free to contact Daniel I. Hernandez with our Division.
Sincerel ,
~ti«~~
H.
