., <br />1. How Aggregate Industries will identify and monitor the presence of a groundwater plume, <br />2. Measures that will be taken by Aggregate Industries in the event that contamination is <br />identified in the groundwater, <br />3. What standards will be used as indicators of contamination, <br />4. How Aggregate Industries will monitor and avoid a similar incident in [he future. <br />5. A monitoring plan for the dewatering trench including laboratory analysis for TEPH on a <br />monthly basis, or more frequently if the NPDES permit calls for more frequent sampling, <br />6. A commitment that if contamination of groundwater is discovered, DMG must be contacted <br />immediately, and <br />7. A commitment that prior to cessation of dewatering activities, the remainder of the <br />contaminated soils must be excavated in order to avoid contact with groundwater when the <br />groundwater rebounds. <br />Please address the above request and submit a technical revision to the DMG for the Aggregate <br />Industries 83'tl Joint Venture Pit reclamation permit by October 31, 2001.
