At the present time the
percent solids is 19%, which for clays in a thickner is very high. We have been running filter sake
to keep up with the clays is the thickner, but at this point the thickner concoatration is still very high.
The sad resuk ofthis problem is that our delivetied coal quality to the power plant is Homing about
9,800 BTUlIb. The wash coal product is presently rutmiag about 16% moisture, this is due to the
watx used to wash the coal contains a large amourR of days from the thickner. As long as we use
water with clay m it to wash the raw coal the deliveried product will eoatain n high amoum o£ water.
This is due to plays sticking to the wash coal screens and the coat particles being washed.
We are asking CMI.R to allow us to dump the thicknu water into the sealed area es speeifled in
TR43. It is my undmstartdmg that CMI.R has approved this techincal revision(TR43) to our permit,
but it will not ba formal approved until it is published and the tea day wmment period.
o ~~~,e un <T cif ~ i"~ ~'y /' /,Yaa t ~a-f li„f ~t -~3 4'~,. ~~t'
~,,.-,d~,a,~~1 ~l ~~G urn ~l. o ~ w 4 ~ ~ ~ Qti.c,~. ~'~~ ~ (1z~CJtio~~ ~
-...___r
