The detection limits used for the analyses should be lower than the published limit for
the receiving stream.
(5) The majority of the surface disturbance was reclaimed several yeazs ago. The herbaceous cover requirement is 40% and the herbaceous
production standazd is 1600 pounds/acre. In accordance with Rule 4.lS.l(4), we suggest that
the Beaz Coal Company monitor the vegetation next year to get a sense for what the herbaceous
cover and production are on the reclaimed area, in anticipation of the standazd.
(6) In Sections 2.05 (page 2.05-42a) and 4.06.5 (page 4.06-3) of the permit application, Beaz
Coal Company has committed to collect a soil sample to determine the nutrient status of the plant
growth medium. No record exists of this testing. Please carry out the commitment so that the
soil can be amended properly.
SECTION V -PERMIT VARIANCES AND SPECIFIC APPROVALS
There aze no specific variances and approvals by the Division for Beaz III Mine.
SECTION VI -BONDING SUMMARY
The Division holds an approved bond on behalf of the permittee for the Beaz III Mine.
