The SEDCAD culvert and ditch sizing utility designs for ditch DSLY-7 and culvert
CSLY-8 use 5.00 cfs as the peak flow. However, the drainage basin routing diagram on
Map 1 E shows that drainage basins 47B and 49A4 drain into ditch DSLY-7 and culvert
CSLY-8. The SEDCAD drainage basin peak flow designs show peak flows of 4.87 cfs
and 5.10 cfs for drainage basins 47B and 49A4 respectively. It would appear that the
peak flow to be used in the ditch and culvert designs should be around 4.87 cfs + 5.10 cfs
or about 9.9 cfs. Please comment.
6. It appears that drainage basin 48A needs to be annotated on Map 1 E. If you agree, please
provide a revised Map 1 E.
7. Referring to Map 1 E and Map 54B, what prevents runoff from the north-facing slope of
drainage area 42A1 from entering ditch DSG-1?
Attachment 44I~ 1 shows that culvert CSLY-2 has been omitted. However, Map 54 still
shows culvert CSLY-2. Please reconcile this difference. If culvert CSLY-2 exists, please
locate or provide the revised SEDCAD hydrology designs for culvert CSLY-2 for the
Sylvester Gulch 100 year-24 hour peak flow drainage.
9. The peak dischazge for culvert CSLY-12 is shown on Attachment 44E-1 to be 12 cfs.
However, the SEDCAD drainage basin peak flow designs show the peak flow to be 2.32
cfs. Please reconcile this difference.
10. The SEDCAD ditch sizing utility designs for ditches DSG-I, DSG-2, DCW-6A, DCW'-
6B and DCW-6C show that the ditches will be shotcreted. However, the shotcrete
designation does not appear next to these ditches on Table 44E. Please add these
designations to the table.
11. Table 44E lists culverts CCW-lA and CCW-1B. However, only culvert CCW-1 appears
on Map 54B. Please explain.
12. Please provide the elevation-dischazge tables and the elevation-area-capacity-discharge
tables for the SEDCAD runs for pond SG-1.
13. The SEDCAD runs for pond SG-1 shows that the area for basin 37C is 2.44 acres.
However, Map 1 E shows that the azea is 1.8 acres in size. Please reconcile this
difference.
14. Please provide the Non-Pond Structure Input/output Table, containing [he grass filter
inputs, for the SEDCAD runs for the small area exemptions at Sylvester Gulch.
15. If you agree, for the sake of clarity, please show the entire 3.0 acre substation as an SAE
on Map 54B.
2
