The calculation discrepancies that you noted in the demolition table were not errors. The
reason that the figures in the adjusted total cost column do not reflect the product of the
quantity column figures multiplied by the base unit cost figures is because the total cost figure
is adjusted by the location adjustment percentage shown at the top of the table.
2. The ripping cost for the roads was put in the bond calculation because your reclamation table
shows that 4.27 acres of roads require reclamation. After our conversation, it is noted that
the roads are in the table but are not to be reclaimed. I have recalculated the bond with the
ripping costs removed, and enclosed the revised summary form. Please replace the previous
summary form with the enclosed summary form, and remove the worksheet for task no. 04a.
The grand total cost figure on the top of the first page of the summary form is the financial
warranty amount that will be required upon approval of this amendment application.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Minerals and Geology,
Durango Field Office, 484 Turner Drive, Building F, Suite 101, Durango, CO 81301, phone no.
970-247-5062.
Sincerely,
~~~~' ~-
Steve S.
