The DMG's letter dated February 6, 2001 transmitted its midterm review document for the
North Thompson Creek Mines. Following are Minrec's responses to the DMG's comments
and concerns.
1. DMG -Please change "Section 6" (third paragraph under 2.1.2, page 2-1 of the
PAP) to read "Section 5" and "shown on Drawing D-2-3" to read "shown on
Drawings D-2-3 and D-3-3.
MIN -Page 2-1 was revised as requested.
2 - 3 DMG -Please provide a reconciliation of disturbed acreage, reclaimed acreage and
acreage of permanent features.
MIN -The table on page 4-ix fists the number of acres disturbed, reclaimed and
acreage of permanent features.
8. DMG -Please update (edit) pages 4-i through 4-vi of the PAP.
MIN -Updated pages 4-i through 4-ix are enclosed. A rationale for classifying the
refuse pond a permanent feature is presented beginning on page 4-iii.
9. DMG -Please expand the haul road definition on page 4-iv to consolidate a list of
those approved appendant features such as berms, topsoil piles, fencing, guardrails
and other permanent features incident to and within the right of way of the haul
road.
MIN -The haul road definition was expanded on amended page 4-vi.
