Rule 6.4.5 Exhibit E-Reclamation Plan <br />8. In Exhibit E, the applicant states that overburden will be replaced when [here is sufficient area affected (3-5 acres). <br />In Exhibits C & D, the applicant states that there is no overburden material present on site to stockpile. Please <br />clarify this discrepancy. <br />9. The applicant proposes to reclaim slopes to no steeper that 2h:ly. Rule 6.3.4(l)(b) requires a justification that <br />supports steeper slopes for [he proposed post-mining land use for all slopes steeper than 3h:ly. The applicant <br />proposes apost-mining land use of rangeland, which is not conductive to 2h:ly slopes. The applicant will need to <br />further explain to what slopes the pit will be reclaimed to achieve the end land use of rangeland. <br />]0. The applicant states that haul road has been constructed on [he site. Please state if the road will be reclaimed, and <br />include a reclamation plan. <br />11. In exhibit E of the reclamation plan, item M states that the area of the pit to be reclaimed is 18.0 acres. The total <br />proposed permit area in this amendment application is 50.46 acres in size. Please explain why 32.46 acres will not <br />require reclamation. <br />Rule 6.4.6 Exhibit F-Reclamation Plan Mao <br />12. Rule 6.4.6(a) requires a map of the expected physical appearance of the azea of the pit to be reclaimed is 18.0 <br />acres. The total proposed topography of the azea with contour lines of sufficient detail to portray the direction and <br />rate of slope of all reclaimed lands. Please submit a map that meets these specifications. <br />Please be advised that the Kues Gravel. Pit 112 Permit Conversion Application may be deemed inadequate, and the <br />application may be. denied on January 23, 2002 unless the above mentioned adequacy review items aze addressed to the <br />satisfaction of the Division. If you feel more time is needed to complete your reply, the Division can grant an extension to <br />the decision date. This will be done upon receipt of a written.waiver of your right to a decision by January 23, 2002 and <br />request for additional time.
