(8) Farm machinery will be used only at the time of revegetation and will not be a <br />factor long range. <br />(9) The Operator/Applicant does not propose to export material to other sites for <br />purposes of backfill. If this activity is expected in the future the Board will be properly <br />notified. <br />(10) All mined material will be handled in such a manner so as to prevent any <br />unauthorized pollutants to the surface drainage system. The sand and gravel <br />stockpiles will be located and arranged to avoid any uncontrolled runoff of stormwater <br />from this site. <br />(11) No groundwater pollutants will be released at this site. <br />3.1.6 Water -General Requirements <br />- ~ (1} The hydrology'and water quality of this site will not be adversely affected by this <br />operation. Groundwater will be encountered during mining, and surface changes <br />shall be controlled and monitored to minimize the affects on the historical stormwater <br />runoff patterns. <br />(a) The operator/applicant will comply with Colorado water quality laws and <br />regulations governing injury to existing water rights. <br />(b) The operator/applicant will comply with applicable Federal and Colorado <br />water quality laws and regulations, including all the standards adopted by the State <br />Water Quality Control .Commission. ,. " .,,:.:.~,r:. {: ' ;. nr, <br />(c) No dredge of streambeds will be done, and the fill areas will not injure the <br />water quality nor restrict historical flow. <br />(d) No earthen structures will remain that were used to control stormwater after <br />mining. Reclamation requires no structures eg. dams or ponds. <br />(2) No dams will be constructed on this mine site. <br />(3) All surtace areas of the affected land, including spoil piles, will be stabilized and <br />protected so as to effectively control erosion. <br />3.1.7 Groundwater -Specific Requirements <br />(1) Groundwater is discussed in Exhibit "G" -Water Information. <br />
