This TR is being submitted to allow a concrete batch <br />plant facility and an asphalt plant facility on the subject property. Ow client is requesting this TR, <br />in the short-term, with the stipulation that an Amendment process will be completed within the <br />next twelve (12) months. The Amendment request will facilitate an updated and logical mining <br />and reclamation plan for the entire subject property. However, an approved TR will afford our <br />client the ability to provide products needed in the community, while allowing for an outlet for <br />the raw materials which will facilitate the updated mining plan. <br />Concrete Batch Plant Specifications <br />• See the site plans at Exhibit B for the proposed location and layout of the concrete batch <br />plant facility on the subject property. <br />The proposed fixed portable concrete batch plant is an existing plant, currently located in <br />Empire, Colorado. Emission Permit No. 82SU051 (1) was issued by the Colorado <br />Department of Public Health and Environment, Air Pollution Control Division, for this <br />concrete batch plant on July 21, 1986 (See Exhibit C). The proposed existing plant is <br />approximately 12', 6" wide, the maximum height is 50', with a production rate of 185 <br />cubic yards per how (See Exhibit D for photographs of the proposed existing plant). If <br />our client is unable to utilize the proposed plant, a similar plant will be located on the <br />subject property. <br />• Approximately, one (1) acre of land is necessary to accommodate the concrete batch <br />plant facility, controls, bins, concrete wash-out, and wash-out handling areas. <br />
