-2-
5. On the proposed revised page 2.05-49, the heading "Subsidence Control Plan" may be
misleading. A subsidence control plan is needed if there has been a determination of
material damage or diminution of value. Neither has been determined. Another
heading may be more appropriate.
6. In order to more clearly understand the nature of the subsidence in the area, please
submit field observations on any surface features that have occurred due to subsidence,
such as surface cracks. If available, please submit information on the nature of the
surface cracks, including their orientation and whether they have subsequently closed.
7. On the proposed revised page 2.05-49 it is stated that no structures exist over the
projected longwall areas. This assumes that the angle of drew for the area is known.
However, no calculation of the angle of draw is provided. Please calculate the angle of
draw using field specific data. If this is not possible, please provide the angle of draw
that would be needed to just exclude the nearest structures.
8. Please provide the depth to coal for the longwall area where the subsidence monitoring
points are located.
9. Oa the proposed revised page 2.05-49, it is stated that no structures exist over the
projected longwall areas. Dces this include other manmade features other than houses,
such as pipelines and power lines?
If you have any questions please call me.
Sincerely,
~ fl
X Joseph J.
