Arkansas Avenue, Unit 104 <br />Denver, Colorado 80237 <br />RE: technical Revision (Issues Related to Permit Renewal) at the <br />Coal Rit3ge No. 1 Mine (Our File No. C-84-065, TR =. 09) <br />Dear Mr. Matthies: <br />We have received your technical revision application to revise your permit <br />(File No. C-84-065) to conduct coal mining in Colorado. Our initial review <br />indicates that all preliminary items required by the Colorado Surface Coal <br />Mining Reclamation Act, C.R.S. 34-33-101 et se ., have been submitted; thus <br />your technical revision application has been de?med compiete for the purposes <br />of filing on the above date. All review and comment periods as provided in <br />the •4ct and Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from this date of <br />filing. <br />A copy of the technical revision application, less any confidential <br />information, must be filed for public inspection with the Garfield County <br />Planner or Cierk and Recorder. Any subsequent changes or additions must <br />also be made in this copy. <br />The proposed newspaper advertisement submitted with the application has <br />been found to be satisfactory, except that the text should somewhere identify <br />"Technical Revision No. 9." You should commence publication of this <br />advertisement as specified in Rule 2.07.3.(2) of the Regulations with the <br />exception that the publication need only be run once, and reference to the <br />informal conference specified in Rule 2.07.3(2)(d) should be deleted. Proof <br />of the publication of the advertisement must be filed with the Division as <br />soon as available after the publication date. <br />The staff is currently reviewing your technical r?vision application to <br />det?rmine whether the items you have submitted meet all requirements of the <br />Act and Regulations.
