The concrete foundations were <br />removed and covered with a minimum of four feet of cover as part of the portal sealing <br />and regrading activities. The three portals were sealed after stowing the waste material <br />underground in number 3 entry according to the approved sealing plan. A four inch <br />diameter steel pipe was installed in number ]slope for monitoring the water level in the <br />mine. The coal pile was used to complete backfilling the portal areas and begin <br />regrading the mine facility area. A minimum of two (2) feet of acceptable growing <br />medium material and topsoil was placed over the coal material. The remaining portions <br />of the facility area were graded per the approved plan. <br />
