Processina
If necessary, sizing of the rock will occur on site by using crushers
and screens. The product will then be stockpiled and raroved from
~' stockpiles as needed. A portable asphalt batch plant could also be
periodically located on the site if a demand arises for paving material.
The processing facilities may move as necessary along the pit floor to
accomfadate the operations. The Exhibit C map illustrates a typical
processing area setting.
Other than possible portable scales, it is not planned that any other
structures will be located on site.
Drainage Control
Because of the site's topographic setting, only relative minor
drainage control will be required. Refer to Exhibit G - Water Resources
for details.
Life of the Oaeration
It is estimated that about three to four acres will be disturbed per
year. On the basis of this rate of extraction, the life of the operation
is estimated to be approximately 11 to 15 years. However, the actual rate
of mining is based on market demands and subject to change accordingly.
\~] Phases of Mining and Reclamation
It is anticipated that there will be two phases of the operation as
follows:
PHASES
Phase 1 - 36.14 +/- ac. (29.46 +/- ac. disturbed).
To be mined beginning in the spring of 1996
for a period estimated to be about 5 to
7 years. Reclamation of this Phase to
begin upon comnencemeirt of operations in
Phase 2.
-6-
