<br />Comment: <br />(6) Exhibit C reflects that the access road will be mined through and relocated <br />as a result of the mining operation. Please locate the approximate area of the <br />new road to be constructed in its place and specify the dimensions of the new <br />road that will be used for the mining operation. Any improvements <br />necessary on existing roads or new roads must contain specifications used in <br />the construction (length, width, road material, etc...). In addition, the <br />owners of the road will need to submit a notarized letter allowing for the <br />removal and reconstruction of the access road as a result of the mining <br />operation. <br />Answer: <br />The future access road has been added to the Mining Plan (Exhibit C). The road location <br />is approximate only and may change when the mine has been completely excavated. If <br />the final road location does change then the Division of Mining and Geology must be <br />notified and the Mining Plan (Exhibit C) shall be amended to reflect the ultimate <br />location of access road prior to commencement of all reclamation work. <br />The new road will be approximately 20 feet wide and 1,755 feet long. It shall be graded <br />to allow for proper drainage and will consist of gravel road base. <br />Comment: <br />(8) The proposed temporary seed mixture to be utilized as a cover crop to <br />prevent erosion of topsoil piles will be the same seed mix specified for the site <br />reclamation areas. <br />Answer: <br />Seeding information and application rates are listed below. <br />TIME OF SEEDING <br />Time of seeding is recommended to take place between April 15 and May 31, or between <br />September 1 and October I5. <br />
