` S
EXHIBIT "C"
As will be noted from Maps in Exhibits "A", "B", and Maps "C-1", "C-
2" and "C-3" immediately following this narrative, there is an existing
sand and gravel operation on the site. That existing operation, designated
by a blue perimeter line, presently affects eight (8) acres and is being
operated under a limited impact permit issued November 29, 1979. The
red line on all maps, which in the Southeast corner of the property is
contiguous with the blue line, is the proposed future expansion of the
pit to a total area of 24.2 acres. As will be described in more detail
in Exhibit "D", the general scheme of the mining operation will be to
move North within the existing pit along the East boundary of the property;
that is, along the Highline Canal right-of-way, and either simultaneously
with the move northward, to move westward, or after the move north has
been made, then to expand the pit in a westerly direction.
A. Map "C-1" designates all immediately adjacent landowners graphically
with those persons' or entities' names corresponding with the marked
areas on that.
B. Map "C-2" indicates the location within 200 feet of the boundaries
of the affected area as follows:
1. Creeks. The easternmost boundary of the property is the
Highline Canal right-of-way within which is the Denver Board of
Water Commissioners' Highline Canal. It should be noted that this
right-of-way is 150 feet in width. The canal right-of-way is measured
as 50 feet from the center line in each direction. To the West, an
additional 50 feet is added for the ditch road. As a consequence,
the ditch road, then, separates the canal itself by 50 feet (actually
more than 50 feet) from the easternmost boundary of the affected
area. There is an existing pond behind the residence located nearest
the westernmost boundary of the pit at its full extension.
2. Roads. The major access road into and out of the property
owned by the owner and used for removal of materials from the sand
and gravel pit is a private road, 20 feet in width, seen in the
extreme northwestern corner of the property (please refer to Map "C-
1") for connection of this road to Titan Road, the major public
North/South arterial. Within the property, the existing roads
leading down into the existing pit will change as excavation proceeds
North and West. The point of ingress and egress into and out of
the pit will vary slightly over time from its present location.
The roads within the pit will be changed as excavations occur.
That point of ingress and egress from the pit, regardless of its
size or shape, will be at its approximate present location. This
is dictated by the location of the permanent scales, which require
the trucks exiting to pass over the scales for weight measurements.
3. Buildings. The buildings on the property are shown as
two residences, one storage area, two garages, scales and the scale
house.
4. Oil and Gas Wells and Lines. There are no oil and gas
wells and lines on the property. Just to the North and the South
of the scale house are found underground fuel storage tanks and
pumps. These, however, are underground supplies, which are immediately
below pumps for the equipment used on site, and at their nearest
points, will be 400 feet from the point of greatest excavation of
the pit (red line).
5. Water Wells. Two water wells are shown on Map "C-2" with
lines extending to the two residences as indicated.
EXHIBIT "C" - Premining and Mining Plan Maps
Affected Lands Explanation
Page 1
