Ms. Karen Hellner
March 14, 1988
Page 2
The return haul roads between the stockpiles and the open pit at Pit 4
will be the shortest distance between the two.
The shop building is 30'x60' and sits on a cement block tier. The entire
shop are and laydown area is built on an overburden stockpile that is in-
tended for use in reclaiming Pond 4. There are no other structures at the
Grassy Gap Mine.
VII. Stipulation and Joint Settlement Commitments
A copy of the December 7, 1984, letter and enclosures are attached. The
source of the material to reclaim Ponds 2 and 3 is the sides of the ponds.
The sides will be pushed in to eliminate the ponds and to remove any high
walls. After your review of the enclosures, we will place the appropriate
materials in the permit document. Our preference is to place only that
material which you think is relevant in the permit document. Reclamation
of Pond 4 is discussed in the permit.
We appreciate the time you have taken to review The Rockcastle Company
permit document. We will try to be as timely as possible in submitting
cross sections which have not yet been located. Please feel free to call
at any time. You may best reach me at my new phone - 231-9822.
Very truly yours,
Tommy D. Raye
l~cl.
cc: Bob Sherman
