BATTLE MOUNTAIN RESOURCES Page I-I <br />San Luis Projcct Technical Specifications <br />1.0 GENERAL PROVISIONS <br />1.1 Supplemental Conditions <br />Prior to any actual construction at the site, the Contractor will be required to submit a detailed <br />work plan to the Designer for approval. The plan will clearly describe all equipment lay down <br />areas, haul and access roads, temporary stockpiles, waste disposal, construction schedule <br />sequencing, and construction methodology if not dictated within the Technical Specifications. <br />Unless otherwise specified, full-time inspection of all construction activities defined by the <br />Specifications will be provided by the Owner. The Owner's inspection of all work shall be <br />performed under the supervision and control of the Designer or his designated representative <br />while such work is in progress. Said inspections aze for the convenience, satisfaction and benefit <br />of the Owner in determining that the work is performed in strict accordan~;e with these <br />Specifications. It shall be the Contractor's sole responsibility to provide all required materials <br />(both natural and manufactured) and to perform all work in conformance with the ;specifications. <br />The Owner's inspections and approvals shall not relieve the Contractor of responsibility for the <br />adequacy and acceptability of the finished work or portions thereof. All work performed by the <br />Contractor shall be subject to final approval by the Owner and the Designer, brit the detailed <br />manner and method of doing the work shall be under the control of the Contractor. The Owner <br />reserves the right to perform portions of the work described herein using the Owner's equipment <br />and manpower. <br />Construction quality control testing shall be conducted by the Designer during the course of the <br />construction activities unless otherwise indicated in these Specifications. Quality control testing <br />shall consist of, but is not limited to, determination of moisture-density rel~dionships for <br />compaction control, grain size analyses, agricultural soil analyses, concrete/grout compressive <br />strength, and moisture content and density determinations for fill materials. Unless otherwise <br />indicated, test procedures shall conform to applicable ASTM standards, as documented in the <br />edition of the standards in force at [he start of work. <br />The Contractor shall examine the Specifications and Drawings to be awaze of all conditions at <br />the site affecting execution of the work.
