L«hhead
Executive Dueaor
Michael B. Long
Drvisian Director
The Division reviewed your response to the April 22, 1997 adequacy letter. There aze still a couple of
issues that need to be addressed.
The items will be numbered to coincide with the original adequacy letter. If an item is not mentioned
your response adequately addressed the issue.
2) Your new metes and bounds description sufficiently describes the proposed new permit azea.
0~ However, as noted, you state that the proposed amended area contains 637 acres, not 608 acres
(as in the original amendment application). Since you are adding 637 acres, your proposed new
permit area will contain 675 acres. Please note the revision.
3) You aze required to show the type of vegetation covering the affected lands on Exhibit C. You
stipulated the grass species that exit within the permit area, but you did not outline the areas on
~ the map that have grass cover. Also, you did not outline the areas that have woody vegetation
Q cover or the species that currently exist at the site. Under Rule 6.4.3. you are allowed to submit
aerial photos (if available) which may make it easier to delineate the vegetated areas. Please
respond.
6) You state you will construct water detention ponds to prevent sediment from entering the Red
Creek drainage. You need to show the location of each pond on Exhibit C and F maps. In
addition, you need to provide the dimensions of each pond and provide runoff data for the 10-
year, 24-hour rain event to demonstrate that the ponds will adequately contain all the
precipitation from such an event. Also, you need to address the sediment issue, since you state
that you will remove and haul off sediment as necessary. If sediment removal is a permanent
maintenance item, money will have to be included in the bond to maintain the ponds.
~ III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
STATE OF COLORADO
