. ,_
- ..
Ms. Rebecca Shea - 2 - January 3, 1986
Fertilizer
The standard current estimate for fertilizer cost and application
varies from E40,00 to E50.00 per acre. Assuming the lower cost, the
potential fertilizer cost for this site would be:
(9.9 acres) (540.00) = 5396.00
According to our calculations, the total potential cost for reclamation
at the Black Cat Pit would vary from E4,676,86 to 56759.16. The maximum
allowable financial warranty for any Limited Impact site is E5,000 and it is
our recommendation that the financial warranty for File No. 78-304 be
increased to E5,000,00. If this figure is acceptable to you, simply reissue
the appropriate CD with the enclosed form. Otherwise, you may submit detailed
calculations including acreage, material amounts and equipment/labor costs to
show that a lower warranty is appropriate.
The next Board meeting will be held on January 22-23, 1986 and it would
be possible to complete the transfer at that meeting if all forms, etc. are
received a few days prior to the meeting. January 16, 1986 is about the
latest that we can receive materials for the January, 1986 meeting. Next
month's meeting is February 26-27, 1986,
We can accept your temporary cessation request concurrent to receiving the
remaining succession documents. Actual cessation approval would not occur
until after the succession approval. The following information should
accompany your cessation request:
1) Present site condition, including actual disturbed acreage and
general site status.
2) Description of measures to be taken to stabilize the site for
cessation. This would include such issues as erosion mitigation, etc.
Sufficient site stabilization is a condition of temporary cessation and must
be completed prior to actual cessation.
Please contact me if you have any questions regarding the succession,
financial warranty increase or the temporary cessation. I look forward to
hearing from you shortly and thank you for your cooperation.
Cordya-Yi-y ,
c~
~_
Recla~ion Specialist
DB/tmb
Enclosure(s)
Doc No. 6206E
