X 20 <br />in., state: "Danger <br />Cyanide" <br />- 2:1 - 2.5:1 <br />3:1 2.75:1 - 3.5:1 <br />The pond's leak-detection system and underliner are obviously not <br />exposed for observation. The operator reports that the underliner was <br />constructed of 1,5 to 2 feet of compacted clay covered with a 6 inch <br />minimum layer of sand and gravel. The pond's base slopes inward and an <br />aggregate drain was keyed into the clay sub-base near the center, bottom of <br />the pond. The drain serves to collect any possible leaks and incorporates <br />perforated PVC pipe, with filter cloth used to reduce the clogging <br />potential from fines translocated Erom above. A single vacuum test outlet <br />for the leak detection system exists on the south side of the pond, just <br />inside the access gate. <br />Tailings Pond <br />The stipulated analytical data for the discharge to the lower tailings <br />pond has been submitted to Skyline Laboratories but the results are not now <br />available. The will be forwarded under separate cover. Other details <br />regarding the construction of the pond are given below. <br />
