1C~s Pi-t
EXHIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN
A. Overburden will be replaced when there is a sufficient area affected (3-5 acres)
and it will not disrupt mining operations. (See Mining Map)
B. Maximum gradient - Per the Natural Resources Conservation Service
recommendation contouring the pit by smoothing all banks to no more than 3:1
slopes and will be flatter where feasible and practicable. The topography will be
made smooth with no spoil piles or pits present.
C. Topsoiling and seeding -All stockpiled overburden and topsoil will be used
exclusively for reclamation. Topsoil will be spread uniformly over the disturbed
area to a packed depth of 6 inches. In the event that existing soils have
insufficient depth, topsoil shall be brought in and spread over the deficient areas.
The pit will be seeded during the last year of operation. (See Item 'A'). Seedbed
should be well settled and firm, but not friable for seed replacement.
The Natural Resources Conservation Service has recommended the following seed
Seeding Recommendations

Species
Variety Requied
PLS/ac
(100%) % of
species
in mixture pLS Rate/

species/ac Total PLS

Ibs/species
Blue rama Lovin ton Hachita 3.0 20.0% 0.60 30.3
Switch rass Grenville NE 28 4.5 10.0% 0.45 22.7
Sideoats Grama Vau hn Butte Niner 9.0 30.0% 2.70 136.3
Western Wheat rass Arriba Barton 16.0 20.0% 3.20 161.5
Little Bluestem Pastura Cimmarron 7.0 20.0% 1.40 70.7

D. Seedbed Preparation -The total area to be seeded will include all disturbed
areas. The seedbed will be well settled and firm, but not friable, for seed
placement. Soils that have been compacted by equipment will be tilled to break
up rooting restrictive layers, then harrowed, rolled or packed to prepare the
required firm seedbed. Grass seed will be drilled using a grass drill from
November 1st to April 30th, prior to a period of anticipated moisture and after all
other treatment is completed. Recommended planting depth is Y4 to '/d inches.
See (above) CO-ECS
