On December 21, 2001, a public notice was published allowing comments <br />until January 10, 2002. Proof of publication is enclosed from the Sterling <br />Journal Advocate. <br />2. Enclosed is a signed copy of the survey plat map. <br />3. The copies of the letters from the State Engineer and the Department of Army <br />Corps of Engineers are in our file. <br />4. Enclosed is a map of all adjoining surface owners of record. <br />5. A copy of the United States Quad Map Section 17 was submitted in the <br />application packet which depicts the existing topography of the area with <br />contour lines in sufficient detail to portray the direction and rate of slope of the <br />affected area. It is one page in front of the Mining Plan. <br />6. Enclosed is a revised Reclamation map depicting where the topsoil and <br />overburden piles will be stored within the mining area. <br />7. The nature of the stratum located below the gravel deposit is shale. <br />8. Exhibit C and D and Exhibit E have been corrected to state that the <br />overburden will be stockpiled appropriately. <br />9. Enclosed is a revised Reclamation Plan that states that the maximum <br />gradient for all slopes will be 3h: 1v, which is consistent with the information in <br />
